Dunga Run key facts
The Dunga Run is a New Zealand charity road rally run by the TimeOut Charitable Trust. Teams buy a cheap car (a "dunga") for $2,000 or less and drive 2,600km of remote North Island roads.
- Dates: 21–28 November 2026 (7 days, 7 nights).
- Start: Orewa Beach Holiday Park, Orewa, Auckland. Finish: Turners Cars, Otahuhu, Auckland.
- Entry: apply as a team of two, buy a road-legal dunga for $2,000 or less, pay the team registration fee, budget about $195 per team per day for camping and meals, carry a radio telephone and fundraise for TimeOut. 20 team places.
- Donate: donate to the event or to a team from the team directory; businesses can sponsor a team.
